History Inquiry in Kindergarten

This term we will be learning lots about our past. We will be investigating events that happen in our past and exploring how humans grow and change. The stages of life we will discuss include being a baby, a child, a teenager, and adult and an elderly person. Once we have explored the stages we will talk about events that may occur during each phase for example, learning to walk, losing a tooth and learning to ride a bike. The children are learning that these events can be sequenced on a timeline.

As a part of this line of inquiry we will be asking families to provide a baby photo of their child. A note will be sent home about this shortly to explain how this will work.

  1. This is a wonderful initiative! Looking forward to hearing more about it. I am sure that it will be a lot of fun for the students as well.
